FRIEND [The Pharmacy Duo] With

IN CORNER!!!!!!!!!

For the first time in my life I travelled a half an hour journey on the roof of a bus .
At first I was frightened of getting up there but I didnt have any other option .
This experience revealed me some of the rare ground realities i have ever come across.
A village man negotiating for a 5/-rs fare amazed me(earn it to spend it & to know its value
'I mumbled it to myself in my thoughts ').And to add to my astonishing ride the conductor came on to the roof to get paid ; that too in a running bus . It was all good to see him balancing himself (had he been trained a bit more ...he must have earned India an olympic gold medal in gymnastics.....huh!!!) .I was taught a practical lesson what the books couldn't teach me for years .These small incidents make a big impact on how one takes life as . I simply won't forget this whole experience .
To accompany me there on top of the bus were a few seniors of MIT,who bunked for watching movie in Adlabs(yes v finally got one in our village or rather two....) ; plus a pharmacy duo & two more of MIT 3rd sem.And the wind had its own part to play.
Its a one time experience which is truely unforgettable .

I missed it when i had lost it .
I realised its importance when it was not with me .
I used to spend hours with it.
Even hours passed like seconds;
i enjoyed every moment with it.
I guess i am addicted to it.
Its so important that i can't live without it.

Looking & staring at it for hours was a common practice ;
touching it gave my fingers
a miraculous joy. I am always glad with it .
It has always done whatever i wanted it to follow ;
one would never get a follower like it .
Sometimes my mom scolds me to leave it .
But i called it my buddy and never left it .
Now, after two long days without it,
I'm again with it .
Once again I'm feeling ecstatic with it .
My buddy had gone for refurbishment .
Now its working with greater speed & efficiency.
My Buddy is my.................................... PC (rather "Internet freak PC") .
Its the best Buddy in the world.

Freedom....???

"If I were to look over the whole world to find out the country most richly endowed with all the wealth,power and beauty that nature can bestow - in some parts a very paradise on earth - I should point to India ."

F.Max Muller
hey ppl...!!!!
so it was independence day again...
the 61st aniversary of our freedom from british rule....
but what actually is freedom....?
this poem by Rabindranath Tagore clarifies wat it is ?

FREEDOM
Freedom from fear is the freedom

I claim for you my motherland!
Freedom from the burden of the ages,
bending your head,breaking your back,
blinding your eyes to the beckoningcall of the future;
Freedom from the shackles of slumber wherewith
you fasten yourself in night's stillness,
mistrusting the star that speaks of truth's adventurous paths;
freedom from the anarchy of destiny
whole sails are weakly yielded to the blind uncertain winds,
and the helm to a hand ever rigid and cold as death.
Freedom from the insult of dwelling in a puppet's world,
where movements are started through brainless wires,
repeated through mindless habits,
where figures wait with patience and obedience for the master of show,
to be stirred into a mimicry of life.

-RabindranathTagore

In the first line, Tagore gives an unusual definition for freedom. He does not say that freedom means power, strength or authority. He defines it as freedom from fear. Thought deeply, one can understand that behind the smallest dearth of freedom, fear lies lurking.This is true not only politically or intellectually, but spiritually as well.Tagore rejects the submission to destiny, comparing a life without freedom with a mimicry. His ideas show his patriotism,a tremendous intellect and a great understanding of the dynamics of human mind and society.
This poem speaks to me of a problem,not only of his motherland India,but all peoples of all times. It's about being locked into the past's way of doing things, afraid to change, afraid to break out of the mould into the light of Truth.We all have this problem, and Tagore has concisely and sublimely summed it up.

back to independence day........>>>
Today we come together,

Be the cause for the unity,

Make it Beautiful day another..

Fight against corruption,

Spurl the flag of On NATION

Happy Independence Day!

well a day significant for indians all over the globe...

this day has turned out to be , just another holiday for most of us.
i think its time,something has to be done abt it...

well talkin abt Youngistaanis...!!!
the YOUTHS..!!!

v r supposed to b the leaders of tomorrow... [ i was the captain of my school football team :)]
as rightly said,

"The Youth of a Nation are the trustees of Posterity"
Benjamin Disraeli

our freedom was won with great struggle and sacrifice after centuries of servitude to foreign rule.Its important that those of us who belong to the post - independence generation should not take our freedom for granted.

we are free from foreign rule,but what abt problems like corruption,terrorism,communalism,poverty,illiteracy...etc

did freedom fighters fought for this india.......????

nobody at that time wud have ever wondered that our united, peace loving country will turn up this way.
v youths believe we are free now and we demand our rights........

right to vote,express,share and do whateva we wantbut wat abt the duties.......????
duties come along with rights.......

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE,IT COMES WITH A HUGE PRICE TAG.HOW MUCH HAVE YOU PAID FOR IT........?

wat we all do is sit in front of tv and curse the present government and say " indya ka kuch nahi hoga.... " (nothings gonna change here)
did anyone of us ever think of changing the system?
" NO"
most of us call politics a "dirty game", with politicians fighting around for power.actualy politics aint dirty........it is us who's making it dirty.its on us to decide whom v want to elect.
YES YOU !!!! (face it )
so v need to clean out this dirt .

well how is somethings gonna change until and unless wetake a step ahead and fight for whats right and whats wrong....
India has the biggest democracy in the world..........
which means

"FOR THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE AND TO THE PEOPLE........"

The constitution gives us a right to vote as soon as we turn 18, i.e., once we become sensible and independent(?) and start deciding what is right and what is not. We can elect the desired candidate.

On the top of it , there are youngsters who doesnt seem to care which way our country is heading to.All they care about is the new flicks,orkut,mobiles,gadgets,clothes,bikes,cars,music and what not. Ask them what our country needs right now and they reply who gives a damn what india needs i m going to settle down in the US (the land of "opportunity" & "terrorism") or abraod & earn big bucks (thats what happiness means to them) and won't come back again in this "dirty useless place".

On the other side.....there are youngsters who show their interest and are really doing their fabulous job in their own fields. some young ppl are working for the good of the country at the grassroots level like there are many who join NGO’s, rallies or help the needy there are youths like Milind Deora ,Rahul Gandhi ,Sachin Pilot, Sindhya etc who r making there presence felt.the youths must urge to change the system ,thats the way this country gonna write its own script .lets hope for a brighter tomorrow and not just hope but work for abetter tomorrow (n a better today " which might b like expecting too much " huh!!!)...

"Serving a motherland is not service - its a responsibility"

Jai Hind........!!!!!!

Another imitated flick !!!!!

Today, bollywood added one more flick to its copycat list. As expected the movie is a remake of hollywood blockbuster of 2003 "Bruce Almighty".

The big b part ws originally played by Morgan Freeman,Sallu by jim Carrey & Pyiyanka by Jennifer Aniston. Its a kind of pity for bollywood (ye nahi sudhrenge) . Afzal Khan really showed nuisance onscreen for 3 long hours .Its a torture sitting in theatre n watching this one.

Nagesh Kukunoor once in a award function said that v are a country of 100 million people n v can not even bring a genuine story out of us.This really is sad .huh!!! when this bollywood gonna grow up & make some genuine movies .Even the posters resemble themselves .........shame

i condemn that.

Independence Day!!!

The 15Th of august : the independence day has not been treated more than a holiday ,nowadays .Many people don't treat it as a national festival/occasion;
same is the case with me.For me its a day to have an appetite of laddooss (moti choor) .
My relatives r teachers so i get this treat . The day is nothing more than a holiday for me too.
It has only brought me a day to rest my striving body.
One can hear the chanting of patriotic songs from the roadside, the school kids enjoying themselves while commuting their ways, the tv channels playing patriotic movie stuff , plus the news channel anchors having special dresses to wear & a tri-color mono to flaunt their ruthless feelings.
The day is of less importance to the youth . The implication lies behind a simple logic that the youth were born ed in the country when it had already achieved freedom ; so it is less meaningful to them . Sometimes, one doesn't know the importance of things which one has unless one looses them . Apart from this there are many reasons behind it.But after all the odd aspects, there are feelings irresistible about this day. the feeling when i get up in the morning ,the essence in the air,the gratitude towards the freedom fighters& all.But as a matter of fact for me as a school boy now to a college hunk the day has lost its grandness . Hitherto,by gods grace at least it has not lost its moral value for me...

Patience!!!

the adversity of food,
the ascending inflation,
the power-cuts,
the water-shortages,
for how long one can bear it on,
there are limits to one's patience;

the riots & terrorist attacks,
the killing of innocents,
the death of humanity,
the death of communal harmony,
for how long one can bear it on,
there are limits to one's patience;

the joke of democracy,
the misuse of power,
the suffering of minorities,
the open assassination of secularism,
for how long one can bear it on,
there are limits to one's patience;

its time to leave the comfort zone,
now there's no wait & watch,
now there's no sitting back,
its time to come out of the nutshell,
its time to change the system or the system would change one,
its time to stop talking & start doing,
one has had enough of it ,
after all the odds,
for how long one can bear it on,
there are limits to one's patience;
for how long one can bear it on,
there are limits to one's patience.

Destiny...!!!!

when all the yesterdays mistakes would wash-out;
when the frustration would convert into joy;
i guess my time would come in life ;

where all the agony will change into ecstasy,

where i would lead myself ,
where there would be nobody to follow,
someway or the other,
i guess my path would come in life;

where there's no compulsion but destiny;

where there's no disgrace but honor;
where there's no ambition but top;
i guess my place would come in life;

someday or the other ,

there won't be any time,there won't be any air,
there won't be any heartbeat ,
someday or the other i will rest in peace,no movement ,
no motion but only my soul will prevail;
that would be my destiny,surely my time,my path & my place would come ,
but not in life but after.....
